Automation tools for creative industries AutoRade

 
 

On 26 October 2022, the Limited Liability Company "Higher School of Economics and Culture" (EKA) and the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) signed the contract No 8.2.3.0/22/A/004 for the implementation of the ESF project "Automation Tools for Creative Industries AutoRade".
 
The duration of the project will be 14 months from 31.10.2022 to 31.12.2023 and the School of Economics and Culture will implement digitisation initiatives in partnership with the University of Latvia, Institute of Transport and Communications, Rezekne Academy of Technologies, Vidzeme University of Technology, Liepaja University, Latvian Digital Accelerator, Ventspils High Technology Park and Valmiera Development Agency.
 
Main project activities:
  • Development, adaptation and implementation of content, methods and technologies for students' digital skills acquisition by improving existing and developing new B and C courses/modules in seven priority topics for creative industries for learning automation tools in creative industries and arts study programmes in Latvian universities;
  • Establishment/development of laboratories in 7 priority themes to strengthen the digital capacity of HEIs and to ensure the link between study processes and digital technologies used in the creative industries;
  • Development or enhancement of 9 digital solutions and platforms to strengthen the digital capacity of universities and deliver digitised courses;
  • Communication and publicity activities on the digitisation initiatives implemented;
  • Project management and implementation.
Project results:
  • Six Latvian universities will receive support from the European Social Fund to implement digitisation initiatives to promote modern study processes based on innovative technological solutions;
  • New courses will be created or existing courses will be adapted in 7 priority thematic areas and integrated into the study process at universities;
  • 9 digital solutions and platforms for education and partner collaboration will be developed;
  • Universities will benefit from new teaching equipment.
 
Total project funding EUR 1 682 157,84 , of which:
  •  ESF funding is 85% of eligible expenditure or EUR 1 429 834.16
  • State budget funding is 15% of eligible expenditure or EUR 252 323,68.
